Animal Welfare Expert to Talk about American Pit Bull Terriers
(Knoxville, TN., June 14, 2008)Paul Miller, Executive Director of the Humane Society of Washington County in Hagerstown, Maryland, will present The American Pit Bull Terrier: Does Breed History Influence Todays Behavior? Saturday, June 14, 2008.
Miller has more than 30 years experience in the field of animal welfare. His areas of expertise include dog and cock fighting, animals in disasters, livestock transportation, USDA dealers, puppy mills, pit bull behavior, animal crimes, animal control and special animal events. Miller is also qualified to give expert court testimony in several of these areas.
The program, which is sponsored by the Young-Williams Animal Center and the American Human Society, will be held from 10am-noon in room A118 at the UT College of Veterinary Medicine, 2407 River Drive, Knoxville. The building is located on the corner of Neyland and Joe Johnson drives on the agricultural campus. Entrance to room A118 is through the middle set of doors on the Joe Johnson Drive side of the building.The $5 program fee per person is payable on the day of the program. Space is limited.
